Body Concerns
From stretch marks and cellulite to scarring, sagging skin and joint pain, Dr Garara's body treatments draw on the same regenerative and energy-based protocols used on the face — adapted to the larger surface area and different tissue demands of the body.
Body concerns we treat
Cellulite
Cellulite is a structural phenomenon, not a fat condition. It develops when tough fibrous bands beneath the skin pull downward while underlying fat pushes upward, producing the dimpled or wavy appearance on the thighs and buttocks. Most people develop some cellulite — including very lean and very athletic individuals — and it is not a sign of poor health. Treatment that targets the structural cause (the fibrous bands and the overlying skin) is more effective than approaches aimed at the fat alone.
Learn moreJoint Pain and Soft Tissue Injury
Joint pain and soft tissue injury can wear you down — a chronic tendinopathy, a knee that has been sore for months, a sports injury that hasn’t settled with rest and rehab. Regenerative medicine offers two options that may be considered as part of a wider plan: autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and autologous platelet-derived exosome injections. The evidence base for these treatments is developing rather than definitive, and outcomes vary considerably between individuals and conditions.
Learn moreSagging Skin (Body)
Body skin laxity — commonly noticed on the abdomen post-pregnancy or post-weight-loss, above the knees, on the upper arms, or under the chin — develops as the dermal collagen-elastin scaffolding declines and the skin loses its snap-back resilience. Non-surgical treatments can produce meaningful improvement for mild to moderate laxity but cannot replace surgical excision where there is significant redundant skin. Honest expectation-setting is part of the consultation.
Learn moreScarring
Body scars — from surgery, trauma, C-section, burns, or repeated skin conditions — can be tethered, raised, discoloured, or symptomatic. Treatment combines intralesional steroid for raised scars, subcision and biostimulator placement for tethered scars, laser and radiofrequency for textural change, and regenerative skin support throughout. Body skin heals more slowly than facial skin and is more prone to keloid formation; protocols are conservative.
Learn moreStretch Marks
Stretch marks — clinically striae — are scars in the dermis caused by rapid skin stretching. They start red or purple (striae rubra) and gradually fade to white or silvery (striae alba). They cannot be entirely erased, but treatment can meaningfully reduce their width, depth, and visibility. Timing matters — red and purple stretch marks respond better than long-established white ones.
